About

Joanie Spina

Joanie Spina is a well-established stage director and choreographer.  For eleven years, she served as choreographer and co-director to David Copperfield. Together they created an impressive repertoire of intriguing routines appreciated by millions world-wide. She choreographed ten of David's annual CBS specials as well as his Broadway show, Dreams and Nightmares. She currently is the artistic director for ongoing projects with Mark and Jinger Kalin, including long running "Real Magic"
at the Magic Underground in Reno.  Spina eventually decided to use her storytelling abilities as  a documentary filmmaker, forming Roxie Video Productions of Las Vegas. Roxie Video offers music and video editing and video  production services.  Spina has always been passionate about animal rights and welfare, and  feels strongly about providing a voice for those who cannot speak. She  lives in Las Vegas with her menagerie of three dogs, three tame cats, and a colony of adult ferals. She sees  documentary film as a method of raising awareness to make the world a  better place for all creatures on this earth.

"Roxie" of Roxie Video Productions is a small golden terrier mix. Animal Control found Roxie on the street with one eye hanging out of the socket. They promptly brought her to Lied Animal Shelter where the fine doctors fixed her up. After a rehabilitation period with a foster mom, they adopted her out to her new home with Joanie. Roxie's best friends are Sam, Bumper and Daisy. Her hobbies include tormenting the feral cats that reside around the property.
